Nigerian music star Kizz Daniel has been released from Police Custody in Tanzania after being arrested for failure to perform at an event for which he was paid.
In the early hours of Tuesday, August 9, 2022 there were reports that ‘Buga’ crooner had been released from police custody about 10 hours after being arrested for failing to perform at a show in Tanzania.
He was arrested on Monday, 8th August 2022 after he failed to show up at the venue which had a sold-out crowd of about 3000.
According to the show’s promoter, Steven Ukah, Kizz Daniel was paid $60,000 for the performance.
He further revealed that,Kizz refused to perform because his luggage which contains his clothes and jewelry was yet to arrive from Uganda where he performed earlier. According to Steven, KizzDaniel refused to accept all the clothing offered to him by stylists in Tanzania.
Alleffortsto get himto perform proved futile asKizzDaniel insisted that he won’t perform without his ownclothes and jewelry.
Kizz Daniel is yet to tell his side of the story either directly or through his management.
Other event organizers have described Kizz Daniel as a difficult Artiste to work with due to his behavior and the event in Tanzania is another blemish on his already battered personality.
Kizz Daniel whose ‘Buga’ is enjoying massive international success has toured the UK and US.
