Neymar has added to his impressive property portfolio by buying a £43m penthouse in Dubai.
The Brazilian superstar, 32, recently bought waterfront land in Miami for £20.5m, and is reportedly eyeing a £7m private island off the coast of Brazil where he could potentially live with his model girlfriend Bruna Biancardi and their daughter Mavie.
Now, he has agreed a deal with real estate company Binghatti to buy a Sky-Mansion penthouse in the UAE.
Binghatti confirmed the agreement in an Instagram post on Monday, which showed Neymar signing his contract alongside the caption: ‘Binghatti is delighted to welcome global football icon Neymar as a proud homeowner of a Sky-Mansion Penthouse in Bugatti residences by Binghatti’.
The penthouse has multiple standout features that enticed Neymar, including a private car elevator that goes right to the front door and a swimming pool.
It also has a fitness centre and a members-only club.
Binghatti claim the penthouse ‘pays homage to the French Riviera’ and gives stunning views of Dubai.
Neymar has splashed out on the property despite uncertainty surrounding his career after a disastrous spell at Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.
He penned a £130m-a-year deal last year, but suffered an ACL injury while playing for Brazil just weeks into his contract which forced him to miss the majority of last season.
The winger returned to the pitch last month, but got injured again in an Asian Champions League match.
His fitness issues have limited him to just seven appearances for Al-Hilal, and it has been reported that they could look to terminate his contract in January.
An emotional return to his boyhood club Santos has been mooted, but an agreement has yet to be reached.
Fellow Brazilian outfit Palmeiras have also been linked with Neymar, but club president Leila Pereira recently ruled out making a move for the playmaker.
Now, Neymar has purchased a luxury property in Dubai, hinting that he could be set to stick around in the Middle East a little longer.
