NDC Chairman takes 24-hour Economy message to Bantama Market

Mr. Augustus Andrews Nana Kwasi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has taken the Women’s Development Bank and 24-hour economy campaign promise by Mr. John Dramani Mahama to market women at Bantama.

He said the former President and NDC’s flagbearer is poised to improve the economic activities of women, especially market women to expand their businesses.

The Ashanti Regional Chairman, who interacted with the traders during a clean-up exercise organised by the Bantama NDC Parliamentary Candidate, Mr. Kwadwo Addai Dapaah, urged the market women not to make a mistake, but to vote massively in the upcoming December 7 General elections for the NDC.

He noted that voting for Mr. Mahama is voting for the Women’s Development Bank and the 24-hour economy to uplift Ghanaian businesses.

He explained that the proposed bank would exclusively facilitate trading activities of women at a very minimum interest rate without collateral.

Mr. Kwadwo Addai Dapaah, the Parliamentary Candidate for Bantama, also pleaded with the constituents to entrust the seat with the NDC to see the kind of development the constituency would enjoy.

He reminded the constituents that they had voted for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for so long, yet they still contend with the issue of youth unemployment in the constituency and promised that there would not be discrimination in job recruitment and opportunities.

He alleged that currently recruitment and job opportunities are open to the youth based on political affiliation and relation to constituency executives.

The PC also promised to initiate youth into entrepreneurship programmes and create a fund in support of the initiative to ensure that the majority of the youth are skillfully trained for the job market, while there would be a scholarship fund to support brilliant but needy students in the constituency.
