My former assistants attacked me with ‘juju’ -Guru

Popular Rapper Guru, born Maradona Yeboah Adjei has opened up about a mysterious blackout he had on stage and how his former assistants plotted a spiritual attack on him.

Recounting the incident, Guru said everything seemed normal during his performance with excitement and high energy from the crowd.

Before his performance could reach its peak, he became stiff and silent, unable to speak or perform.

The DJ stopped the music, thinking he wanted to interact with the fans, but Guru was physically unable to continue.

“I went on stage to perform; I performed some four songs. It got to one of my hit songs and I went mute. I couldn’t talk and the DJ stopped the music thinking I wanted to interact with the fans.

“I don’t drink, so that wasn’t the cause. I drank several bottles of water, but nothing was working. I had to signal to my crew that something was wrong. We apologized to the fans and canceled the show,” Guru shared on Okukuseku with Emelia Brobbey.

He added that after the experience, he went to see a number of pastors, all of whom cautioned him that he was being attacked spiritually, but he disregarded their advice.

His condition deteriorated, and he began to get regular stomach aches and sore throats. He started having voice problems and went to seek medical help.

But it wasn’t until he went to see herbalists that the extent of the problem was revealed to him and he was healed.

According to Guru, the herbalists extracted metal objects, pins from his throat, and a stick with thorns and hooks from his stomach.

“I was there and one pastor called me and said someone is using juju on me. I was like how so I didn’t mind and was doing my own thing and the second warning came.

“So, it got to a time I was experiencing severe stomach pains. I couldn’t speak, I had issues with my throat to an extent that I went to see an herbalist. So, a little piece of wood like the size of my index finger was taken out from around my neck, also a hook just like the one used for fishing was also taken out from my stomach.

“If anybody had said it, I would have doubted but right before my eyes, I saw it,” he narrated.

He added that the spiritual attack which lasted for eight months took a toll on his health.

The musician claimed that during that time he lost weight, grew weaker, and even got into a vehicle accident with his Ford Explorer on the Aburi road.

After his hit song “Samba” was released, he finally made the decision to take a break and let go of his assistants and everyone in his inner circle.
