The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira West in the Central Region, Rudolf Amoako-Gyampa, has called on government and the Ministry of Health to, as a matter of urgency, complete the abandoned Agenda 111 projects at Diaso.
The said project, initiated by the previous NPP administration, were abandoned by the contractor before the 2024 general election, when it was about 45% complete, resulting in the construction sitebeing overtaken by weeds.

The MP, during an inspection tour of the facility with the media, expressed grave concern about the safety of materials on site and complained about the integrity of the structures.
According to Mr. Amoako-Gyampa, constituents of Upper Denkyira West are faced with challenges of accessing healthcare, following the neglect of the project.
He noted that under the circumstances many constituents are compelled to travel long distances to seek medical care, which situation often results in complications and loss of lives.
“The people of Upper Denkyira West are suffering. The delay in completing this project has serious consequences for healthcare delivery in the constituency,” he bemoaned.
The MP, therefore, urged the government and the Minister of Health to prioritise the completion of the projects, stressing the importance of continuity in governance.
Mr. Amoako-Gyampa further emphasised that completing the Diaso hospital under the Agenda 111 programme will greatly improve healthcare delivery and provide residents with essential medical services.
“Regardless of political transitions, it is vital that development projects are completed. That is the only way state resources can be put to good use,” he added.
