Nana Abobrim Yaw Dompo II, Acting President of Mo Traditional Area in the Bono East Region, has commended the three royal gates namely’ Pago, Leera and Dankwa for involving the National Peace and Conflict Resolution Council towards the resolution of the Mo Chieftaincy disputes.
Nana Dompo, while speaking to the media at Kintampo, noted that the development is a great achievement for the peace of the area.
He disclosed that since the royal gates have buried their differences and come together to find a lasting solution to the dispute, dating back to 1999, following the demise of Nana Kwaku Dimpor, he was optimistic that it will pave the way for the installation of a new paramount chief for the traditional area.
Nana Abobrim Yaw Dompo II observed that the area is lagging behind development following the 22-year-old dispute, which has ended peacefully.
He has thus commended the three gates of Dankwa, Leera and Pago for considering the interest of Mo Traditional.
The acting president further appealed to the royal gates to work hard to achieve their objective of peace and complement the efforts of the Peace Council in arriving at a lasting solution in the interest of the people.
He also appealed to all Mo citizens home and abroad to support the Council in the settlement of the matter and stop further litigations.
The chief has also lauded the media for their interventions which attracted the attention and involvement of the Peace Council in ensuring the peaceful settlement of the dispute.
