PSG travelled to Corsica without suspended pair Neymar Jr. and Sergio Ramos, but they still put a strong team out at the Stade François Coty.
PSG made it 1-0, with Messi slipping Mbappé through who then made no mistake for his ninth goal of the campaign. Mbappé should have doubled his and his side’s tally soon after when he was teed up by Achraf Hakimi, but his finish let him down and it was 1-0 at the break.
The start of the second half saw PSG pull further clear, as Mbappé returned the favour to set up Messi with a backheel, the Argentina skipped past Leroy, and it was 2-0.
Mbappé then completed the scoring when he and Messi exchanged roles, steering home from close range.
Messi is aging like a fine wine in France after a difficult first season with Paris, and now has six goals and nine assists in Ligue 1.
