As the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League enters match day seven, the competition is beginning to take shape. Teams are gradually finding their rhythm, while others continue to search for consistency in what has already been an unpredictable start to the campaign.
Every point now matters as clubs seek to close the gap on the early pace-setters or move away from the danger zone.
With pressure mounting on underperforming sides and confidence soaring among the in-form teams, this weekend’s fixtures promise plenty of drama, intensity and excitement across all venues.
Below are the Match Day Seven Previews;
Hearts Host Bibiani Gold Stars
Accra Hearts of Oak welcome last season’s champions, Bibiani Gold Stars, to the Accra Sports Stadium in one of the standout fixtures of the weekend.
The Phobians have shown great defensive organisation this season, but continue to struggle in front of goal. Despite creating several chances, their conversion rate remains a concern.

With home support behind them, head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani will be hoping his side can turn their solid defending into a much-needed victory against an in-form Bibiani Gold Stars side.
Bibiani Gold Stars, on the other hand, are still searching for the consistency that made them champions last season.
With just three wins from their last five matches, Coach Maxwell Konadu knows his side must respond quickly to keep their title hopes alive.
Having won two of their last five meetings with Hearts, Bibiani Gold Stars will be full of confidence going into this encounter.
Hearts of Oak, however, have not beaten Gold Stars recently and will be looking to turn the tables around. With the backing of their passionate home fans, this promises to be a must-watch game.
Samartex face Hohoe United
Samartex will look to maintain their impressive form as they host Hohoe United in match day seven of the 2025/26 season.
Samartex have quietly gone about their business, proving to be a tough side to beat this season. Their structured defense and organised midfield have earned them valuable points and they’ll be counting on their home form to deliver another strong result.

Hohoe United, however, have had a roller-coaster performance and need to improve to keep their survival hopes in the top flight alive. Although they have been scoring, the rate at which they concede goals is worrying. Currently sitting 10th on the league log, Hohoe United will be hoping to secure all three points in this crucial encounter.
With this being their first-ever meeting, both teams will be eager to clinch a win and assert their dominance over the other
Heart of Lions host Holy Stars
Heart of Lions will welcome Holy Stars to Kpando in what promises to be a closely contested affair.

The Lions have impressed so far, showing a blend of creativity and composure in attack. Although they haven’t won in their last three matches, they will look to return to winning ways in front of their home fans. Lions have not lost a home game this season and will aim to extend their fine run while keeping pressure on the top teams.
Sitting bottom of the league log, Holy Stars will be desperate to secure their first win of the season. Their recent loss came against newly promoted Swedru All Blacks. Holy Stars have been wasteful in front of goal, failing to score in any of their matches so far.
They will be eager to find the back of the net for the first time this season and possibly score more in this encounter. Their defense has also been shaky, conceding six goals in five matches.
Kotoko Set for CAF Confederation Cup Duty
The Porcupine Warriors, Asante Kotoko, will not be in league action this weekend as they travel to Morocco to face Wydad in the CAF Confederation Cup. Kotoko will be hoping to keep their quest to qualify for the group stage alive, despite suffering a home defeat in the first leg.
