Massive development is coming -New Simiw Chief assures

The new Chief of Simiw, Nana Nguando IV, has assured his people that his proposed development plan for the town would serve as the pivot on which the development of the town would revolve.

He has therefore called on the people to move away from tendencies that would create divisions within their ranks but work together as a unit to support his vision to develop the town.

Speaking at an interdenominational church service held at the Simiw Community Park to climax his coronation, Nana Nguando disclosed that he would soon unveil his developmental master plan for the community.

The yet-to-unveil master plan, which he said would be known as the “New Simiw Project,” would outline his vision for creating a relatively new image for the town.

“I have a plan, but I cannot carry it out all alone by myself without your kind support and inclusion. I am therefore pleading that you should solidly be behind me and let’s do it together.

We will soon have a durbar, which will involve all stakeholders and the community at large to deliberate on this master plan so that we can all own it and become the implementers as well,” he said.

Preaching of the gospel

Delivering a sermon at the programme, a preacher with the Church of Christ, Pastor Amos Quansah, counselled the new chief to unite his people and learn to rule as a unifier.

Emphasising Proverbs chapter 30 verse 24 to 28, he advised Nana Nguando to hold himself from meddling in affairs that have the tendencies to affect or damage his reign and reputation.

“You shouldn’t be afraid to correct people when they are wrong, and don’t be shy to accept correction as well when you also get it wrong. As a young chief, a lot of temptations will come your way, but stand firm,” he advised.
