Orphans at Akwadum Christian Village in the Eastern Region were overjoyed when the MarkGrace Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation, held a dining ceremony to celebrate these disadvantaged children.
The dining ceremony was in line with Mother Theresa, a Roman Catholic Saint’s quote, which says when a poor person dies of hunger it has not happened because God did not take care of him or her. It has happened because neither you nor I wanted to give that person what he or she needed.
The MarkGrace Foundation’s main aim is to support the needy with basic needs, particularly, educational materials to aid quality teaching and learning.
The registered Foundation has embarked on many donation activities aimed at giving back to society and has visited many orphanages and houses in the country with food items, cooking oils, soft drinks, toiletries, and many other relief items.
The Founder and Director of MarkGrace Foundation, and Associate Pastor of Reigning Power Gospel Church International, Pastor Mark Bempong Danso, said the donation would motivate the orphans to believe in themselves.
Pastor Mark Danso indicated they dined with the orphans, because the Bible says that a generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.
He promised that the Foundation would visit the house during the Christmas season to donate relief items to help improve the lives of the orphans, whilst urging the children to humble themselves and take their education seriously to become future leaders in the country.
The Assistant Administrator and Caretaker at Akwadum Christian Village, Madam Edith Ahoma, also expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the unweaving support for the orphans.
