Barima Saasi Ayeboafo II, Mampontenghene, has appealed to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President and Flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to complete the over 10-year market project and improve the bad road network in the Constituency.
Barima Ayeboafo made the appeal when the Vice President paid a courtesy call on him and Nananom at his palace at Mamponteng.
According to him, the ruling New Patriotic Party always records the highest votes in every election, yet the roads network in the area remains deplorable.
Barima Saasi Ayeboafo stressed that the over 200-year-old market which used to serve the entire Kwabre was earmarked by government ten years ago for reconstruction but change of government has stalled the projectl which has remained uncompleted over the years.
He urged the Vice President to complete the project upon winning the upcoming general elections.
Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia also pleaded with the people of Kwabre to support him to win the upcoming general elections and assured Nananom and the entire Kwabre East Constituency of the completion of the oven ten years market project.
Dr. Mahamudi Bawumia admitted that, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) always record their highest votes in the Constituency, for which he is not going to neglect the area, especially the road network and the abandoned market project, to reciprocate their votes.
