Lawyer Edudzi Tamakloe, the Director of Legal of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reaffirmed former President John Dramani Mahama’s commitment to be accountable to Ghanaians if given the mandate to head the next government.
According to him, John Mahama has on countless occasions stated his commitment to accountability to the citizenry and ensured that his appointees did the same to ensure value for the taxpayers monies.
Speaking on the NDC manifesto, he stated that though the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) decided to copy what the NDC did in their manifesto, they will not undermine Internally Generated Fund (IGF) in the free academic fees of universities while abolishing obnoxious Corona Virus (COVID-19) betting taxes and other nuisance taxes.
He disclosed that the NDC agenda towards immediate economic recovery would investigate the ambulance spare parts, PDS, National Cathedral and other state loot properties dubbed – Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL).
Lawyer Tamakloe asked the Ghanaian electorate to have confidence in the new NDC government for accountability, because it will ensure that any looted funds and state property that has been taken away from the state through state capture by a few family and friends of the current administration would be retrieved for the benefit of all the citizens, irrespective of one’s religious, political or geographical dispensation.
