Let’s unite to keep NDC in perpetual opposition -COKA tells NPP supporters

Former Afigya Kwabre South constituency chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, has called on party supporters and sympathizers to unite in their resolve to ensure that the party retains power come December 7.

According to him, only a united front can keep the main opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) in everlasting opposition.

Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, widely known as COKA was addressing party supporters at the launch of the campaign of Dr. Isaac Yaw Opoku, the Parliamentary candidate for Offinso South at Offinso on Sunday under the theme:” Consolidating the unity of Offinso South to break the eight”.

COKA said the party would remain in power on condition that all supporters remain united and stressed the need for the constituents to maintain the NPP candidate.

The Offinso South campaign launch was heralded by a Health walk participated by Collins Adomako Mensah, Deputy Energy Minister and MP for Afigya Kwabre North, Offinso South MCE, Kingsley Owusu Appiah and the Regional Organiser, Francis Adomako.

Offinso South contributed over 36,000 votes to the NPP in the 2020 presidential election.
“We can be sure to remain the ruling party on condition that we all remain united so that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will stay in opposition forever.”

He encouraged the members to adopt the door-to-door campaign in order not to leave any stone unturned.

COKA stressed that it is important to retain the NPP in power because the NDC has nothing good to offer the constituents.

He also cautioned the supporters to avoid the “skirt and blouse” pattern of voting in the elections, encouraging them to vote for all NPP Parliamentary candidates and the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Dr. Isaac Yaw Poku, the incumbent MP and Parliamentary Candidate enumerated the projects he has initiated in his first term and hoped they would give him a second mandate to consolidate the gains so far achieved.

He explained that his performance as a lawmaker had been recognised with his appointment as member of both the Public Accounts and Transport Parliamentary sub-Committees and appealed to the constituents to vote for him and the Presidential candidate to secure victory, for the NPP to form the next government.
