Kwabre NHIA honours six staff for outstanding performance

The Kwabre National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has honoured six members of staff for selfless dedication to duty in 2022.

The six were recognised for their commitment to improve and maximise the membership drive for registration onto the Scheme.

The awardees received cooking utensils and citations, stand fans, fridges and gas cylinders as their prizes.

Mr. Mark Emmanuel was adjudged the Overall Best Worker for the Year 2022 for his consistent excellent performance.

Mr. Eric Owusu, Ashanti Regional Human Relations Officer, who represented the Ashanti Regional Manager, commended the Municipal NHIA Director for the inspiring initiative aimed at motivating the workers to achieve excellence.

According to him, human resources were very important in any institution, and, for that matter, the initiative was in the right direction to motivate the awardees staff for others to emulate across the country in every sector.

He disclosed that, the Kwabre NHIA covered the largest area in the region, yet was able to reach most of the residents in the Scheme, because of the hardworking and dedicated staff, which, he said, needed commendation and emulation by other Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs).

Mr. Edward Frimpong, Manager of the Kwabre NHIA, explained that, the initiative was geared towards motivating the awardees, and to also serve as a motivation for others to emulate and improve upon their performances.

Mr. Opoku Agyemang Bonsu, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), also expressed gratitude to the management and staff of the Kwabre NHIA for the initiative which should be made an annual affair to enhance dedication and selflessness in the performance of duty.

He gave an assurance of the readiness and commitment of the Assembly to support such a programme, and commended the workers, especially the awardees, charging them to do more and never relent in their efforts to achieve more in promoting effective, accessible and affordable healthcare for the people.

Nana Kofi Awuah II, Chief of Soko and Chairman for the occasion, reminded the workers to remain selfless anywhere they may find themselves to serve the people, for they would not know who may be watching them.

He urged them to keep up with the good work, for nobody knows when one would be recognised and rewarded for good stewardship.
