The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer hopeful, Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has stated that he is fully in the race to lead the Party to wrestle political power from the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and that delegates should vote for him.
Speaking to NPP delegates from Adansi Asokwa, New Edubiase and Fomena at Adansi Asokwa, he stated that “the issue of Kwabena Agyepong yet to fulfil his financial obligations to the Party in respect of his participation in the Flagbearership Race is over, so vote ‘Aseeho’ on the D-Day.”
Throwing more light on his vision for the nation, Mr. Agyepong re-echoed his support for the youth when he said “their fortunes have been destroyed by mining operations that promised prosperity, but have delivered contaminated farmlands, polluted water bodies and a damaged environment.”
He told the delegates that when he becomes President, he would launch a National Property Justice Initiative that will review and reform land tenure law to protect customary rites and establish transparent compensation framework for all landed property in the country.
Touching on the 2024 General Elections, Mr Agyepong maintained that most NPP members for one reason or other did not vote and, therefore, there is the need to bring everybody on board this time.
He pointed out that currently the unity in the NPP has gone down drastically and pledged to bring everybody on board when he wins the flagbearership race.
The NPP Flagbearer aspirant showed the delegates a letter he wrote to the Party’s National Council that called for former Constituency Executives to be given voting rights and urged the delegates to challenge any one who will come to dispute this fact.
” President Kwabena Agyei Agyepong will ensure that the nation’s resources are judiciously used to the benefit of everybody in the country, so give me the mandate on 31st January 2026 to enable me prosecute my vision,” he added.
