Kudus scores long range curler as Ajax lose to PSV

Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus was on target once again as Ajax Amsterdam suffered a 5-3 defeat to PSV Eindhoven in the Johan Cruijff Shield. Kudus, 21, was introduced in the 63rd minute and took less than 10 minutes to find the back of the net after coming on for Steven Berghuis.

With Ajax Amsterdam down 4-2, the left-footed genius gently controlled a loose ball at the edge of the PSV 18-yard-box before smashing home a goal to reduce the deficit.

Despite his goal, Alfred Schreuder’s men went on to taste a 5-3 defeat to hand the trophy to PSV Eindhoven.

Kudus will be hoping to cement his place in the starting XI under Schredeur and has been in some fine form, scoring in the last four games he has played.

His individual performances in recent times will also excite Ghanaians as the team is set to face Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in Group H of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
