The Kotei community in the Oforikrom Municipality of the Ashanti Region has a new Chief.
Nana Nkansah Amoaye, 48, now occupies the Owia Owo Adrian Stool of the Asona Clan.
The new Chief has since sworn the oath of allegiance with the Ahwihwibaa Sword to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at Manhyia Palace on June 5, 2023.
Nana Nkansah Amoaye, who is a businessman, while addressing a gathering at the Kotei Palace, thanked Otumfuo Osei Tutu for the great honour done him by accepting him to ascend the Stool, which has been vacant for several years.
He called for unity among the people to develop the community in peace.
The Chief pledged to champion the development of the community, but with their support, and promising to serve in humility.
