Martin King Arthur, known as Kofi Kinaata, has proven to personnel of the Army that when it comes to the entertainment battlefield, he is a force to be reckoned with.
The four times VMGA songwriter of the year, dazzled the soldiers with melodious songs from his most popular albums that blew the soldiers away from their seats.
Others could not control themselves but to sing along, as a sign of their in-depth knowledge of the musician’s songs.
Kofi Kinaata entertained the soldiers at this year’s West Africa Soldiers Social Activities (WASSA), held at the Army Headquarters in Accra, Friday.
Guest of Honour for the event, Major General Clayton Boanuba Yaache (Rtd) praised the personnel for their outstanding performance and contribution to international peacekeeping.
He urged them to continue to “demonstrate professionalism and discharge your assigned duties with all seriousness expected of peacekeepers.
Maj. Gen. C.B Yaache expressed concern over the rising threats of terrorism, violent extremism and other internationally organised crimes within the sub-region.
He was, particularly happy, about the pre-emptive measures taken by the army towards securing the states territorial integrity and preserving peace.
“Your relentless efforts at safeguarding the territorial integrity of our country, especially in these times of rising insecurity in the West Africa sub-region is remarkable. We greatly appreciate your selfless service and say a big thank you for all the sacrifice,” he remarked.
On social defiance, Maj. Gen. CB Yaache advised the officers against sex exploitation, abuse and other despicable vices, which repercussions are dire.
He also congratulated both military and civilian employees of the army, especially the awardees for the feat chalked.
