KODA to be buried July 5

At a ceremony in Takoradi to mark one week observation since the death of Gospel Artiste Kofi Owusu Dua Anto, popularly known as KODA, the family announced Friday, July 5 as the date to lay him to rest.

The final funeral rites will be held at the Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) situated on Spintex Road in Accra.

The one-week ceremony was attended by a multitude of mourners, including fellow Ghanaian music luminaries like Pastor Joe Beecham and Uncle Ato.

KODA produced several chart-topping hits, including ‘Hossana’, ‘Nsempii,’ ‘Nkwa Abodoo,’ ‘Yapai,’ and ‘Adorso,’ solidifying his place as a revered figure in the Ghanaian music industry.

Augustine Kofi Owusu Dua Anto, fondly known as KODA, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of impactful gospel music.

In addition to his music composition, he also known for his sound production. His music resonated deeply with audiences, inspiring hope and faith.

Days after his death, his family created a new website, www.kodasmedia.com, to provide information on his memorial and funeral arrangements.
