Mr. Samuel Pyne, Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), has commissioned two classroom block facilities for the Fankyenebra and Daaban-Apraman communities in the Nhyiaeso Sub-Metro Area.
He has officially cut the ribbon and unveiled a six-unit classroom block with an office for Fankyenebra M/A Basic School, and further commissioned a two-classroom Kindergarten with a kitchen for the Daaban-Apraman Basic School.
The Mayor explained at the commissioning of both facilities at the communities that it showed the commitment of the KMA to complete educational projects under construction, as well as those that might have been left unattended to, in line with a resolution by his administration and assembly members to complete all abandoned school projects, and undertake new ones so as to ensure that teaching and learning were improved upon in the metropolis.
Mr. David Oppong, Kumasi Metro Director of Education, addressing the authorities at both schools, entreated them to use the facilities for their intended purposes.
He also tasked them to ensure that the facilities were periodically maintained and put in good conditions to enable them to derive the desired benefits.
The Metro Education Director cautioned pupils at both schools not to use the walls of the building as blackboards, since such activities tend to deface the work done on the facilities.
