Anibok Studios, in association with Organised Khaoz Productions, has announced the release of the official trailer for King of Tɛma, a landmark in Ghana’s film industry, the first feature film from Tema, by Tema, and about Tema.
Directed and produced by Kobina de Graft-Johnson, King of Tɛma builds upon Ghana’s proud storytelling heritage, honouring pioneers such as Kwaw Ansah, while introducing a bold new cinematic voice from Tema’s creative heart.
King of Tɛma is a gripping Ghanaian crime drama set in the industrial city of Tema, a story of power, loyalty, and redemption.
The film follows men navigating faith and ambition in a world where every choice comes with a cost. Filmed entirely in Tema, it captures the pulse, pride, and spirit of one of Ghana’s most defining cities.
The film explores loyalty, betrayal, and redemption in a city where ambition collides with faith and survival.
“We’re not rewriting Ghana’s story, we’re extending it,” says Kobina de Graft-Johnson, Director of King of Tɛma.

King of Tɛma stands as the first feature film from Tema, conceived, written, directed, and produced by a native of the city.
This film represents a continuation of Ghana’s creative story, celebrating authenticity, collaboration, and pride in local storytelling.
