Mrs. Eugenia Kwakye Kabobo, wife of Highlife musician, Kwabena Kwakye Kabobo popularly known as K. K. Kabobo has revealed that, the ‘Onyame ahu wo’ crooner was initially treated for ulcer and typhoid for a long period before finding out what the main medical problem is.
According to Mrs. Kabobo, it was at Medimafo Herbal Centre where a full blood count was undertaken before it was revealed that he had liver disease and is currently on dialysis treatment.
Speaking to The Chronicle, Mrs. Kabobo mentioned that they are in dire need of funds to support the husband’s GHc3,000 weekly dialysis treatment.
A fundraising campaign has since been launched to help KK Kabobo raise money for his medical expenses. Initiated by Event Promoter, Saddick Assah, a fundraising campaign is currently ongoing in Western Region to raise a total of GHc50,000 as support from the Creative Arts Players in Western Region to support Mr. Kabobo’s treatment.
A dedicated Mobile Money number 0241650183 with the name ‘Westline Entertainment’ is used as the medium to take the donations from the Western Region residents.
