A few days after the appointment of new officials to the National Film Authority, the outgoing Executive Secretary, Juliet Yaa Asantewaa Asante, has opened up about a number of things that hindered her work.
In a Facebook post, Juliet mentioned that at the initial stages of her appointment, she had to run the authority with her own money and office space.
She also recounted the antagonism she suffered from the Board, and sexual harassment she faced from two of her bosses.
While canvassing financial support for the new appointees, she revealed that the Bank of Ghana, has cleared money saved in the Authority’s account.
“The little money I raised for office and car by the end of last year, has been cleared from the accounts by the Bank of Ghana before we could get the office and get the office vehicle,” she wrote in the Facebook post.
A couple of days ago, Kafui Danku was appointed as the Executive Secretary of the NFA, with James Gardiner as her Deputy.
