The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Jaman South in the Bono Region, Mr. Andrews Bediako, has presented sporting materials to the Drobo M/A Primary School.
The items included a set of jerseys and footballs to support the school’s soccer team.
Mr. Bediako said the donation was his contribution towards sports promotion and improvement of the standard of education in the constituency, and believed a gift of this nature would help the school and the students to nurture their talents in the field of sports.
Mr. Bediako urged the teachers to attach importance to physical education, which would help keep the pupils and students healthy, and to also unearth sports talents at the youth level.
The Headmistress of the school, who received the items, expressed her appreciation to the MCE for the support to improve upon the school’s sporting strength, and pledged to ensure that they would strictly use the items for the intended purpose.
