IYF, GBC sign MoU to exchange content

The International Youth Organisation (IYF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) for content exchange.

IYF is a Non-Governmental Organisation, which uses Mind Education to inform and educate the youth through Christian literature. This allows the exchange of ideas which helps the youth to learn with upright heart.

The two institutions have partnered on many occasionsto champion youth development through youth-led and youth-driven programmes.

The MoU captures content exchange between GBC and IYC and also to provide capacity building opportunities.

The MOU was signed by Professor Amin Alhassan, Director General of GBC andthe Country Director of IYF, Rev. Young Jun Moon.

The signing of the MoU was witnessed by Lawyer Kwame Waja for GBC and Rev. Ato Edwin, the General Secretary of IYF.

Addressing the gathering,Mr Amin Alhassan reaffirmed the positive partnership that has existed between IYF and his outfit for the past few years, as well as the importance of employing the mindset education approach to bring about the necessary transformation.

He also said “there is no doubt that GBC is partnering IYF today, due to the content they are bringing on board.”

Rev. David, the Foreign Affairs Minister of IYF used the secretary bird and the Eagle to make an illustration about the Mindset Education Concept.

He mentioned that the secretary bird has a wing span of two meters, similar to that of the eagle, and that the eagle can soar to extremely high heights, whereas the secretary bird prefers to run rather than fly, despite its ability to do so.

According to him, the secretary bird’s thinking allows predators to easily capture it, but not the eagle.

He used this example to show the difference between people who make the most of their ability and those who don’t.
