I’ve been trying to make peace with Stonebwoy – Kelvynboy

Ghanaian highlife and Afrobeats artiste, Kelvynboy, has spoken about the attempts he has made to patch up his differences with Stonebwoy.

Speaking to Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, he said “I’ve been trying for years. It is not the first thing I think about when I wake up from bed but when it comes to my issue with Stonebwoy, I wish we thrashed it out.”

“Any time, we’ve tried I don’t think he’s ready. But me, I dey,” he noted.

In 2019, Stonebwoy severed his work relationship with Kelvynboy after the latter had been signed to the Burniton Music Group.

A press release from Stonebwoy’s Burniton Music Group that announced the separation stated that “Mr Kelvin Brown (Kelvyn Boy) and the Company entered into an agreement dated January 22, 2018, which, to a large extent, governed the relationship between both parties (the Agreement). The Agreement had an initial term of one (1) year, and provided the Company with an option to extend the tenure for a further period of four (4) years (the Option).”

It further indicated that the contract extension period under the Agreement did not take effect after the Agreement expired on January 21, 2019.

Accordingly, Kelvyn Boy ceases to be an artiste under the Company and will no longer be associated with the Company and/or the BHIM Nation brand. We wish him success in his future endeavours,” the record label noted.

Before that, Kelvynboy had apologised to Stonebwoy after the latter had complained that the ‘Sugarcane’ hitmaker had disrespected him.

After the separation, Kelvynboy released hit songs and albums, invading foreign music industries and chalking huge successes.

At the moment, he is out with a new song titled ‘Man Down’ which features Lasmid.
