A former Metropolitan Engineer of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly(AMA), Dr. Albert Awuah Junior, is expected to be installed as the chiefof Konongo today, August 22, 2022 at Juaben, in the Ashanti region.The former Coordinator of the World Bank initiated Urban IV project will be given the stool name, Nana Awuah Abedimsa II.
The enstoolment ceremony is said to be under the auspices of His Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene and under the authority of Nana Otuo Sereboe II, the Juabenhene, according to an announcement and flyers doing the rounds on Social media and Face book.
The Asona stool of Konongo has been vacant since January 15, 2022following the demise of Nana Batafo Akyeampong Nti II, the Konongohene.
