Juventus will be aiming to move up to seventh in the table when they host Empoli in Serie A on Friday night. The visitors, meanwhile, can jump one spot to ninth should they pull off a shock victory. It has been an incredibly testing opening period of the season for Maximiliano Allegri and Juventus, although last weekend’s 1-0 win away to Torino in the Turin derby has quietened some of the negative noise surrounding the club. Things have not exactly gone to plan in Europe for them either.
As such, there is significant pressure on Maximiliano Allegri, Juve coach, ahead of Friday night’s game at the Juventus Stadium, especially as a win would move them above their fiercest rivals Inter Milan in the table.
Both Juventus and Empoli’s league games this season have only averaged exactly two goals per game, so it is hard to envisage either goalkeeper being too busy on Friday.
