Afrobeats Artiste and Dancer, Mr. Drew, has disclosed that he is no longer with Kaywa’s record label, Highly Spiritual Music.
Speaking in an interview on TV3, Mr Drew stated that his he did not consider renewing his contract with Highly Spiritual Music when it ended.
He added that it was also a decision he made to progress in his career.
“Everyone wants growth; you can’t stay in one place for a long while. It’s more about moving ahead,” he added.
Even though he is no more under the Highly Spiritual Record Label, the ‘Dw3’ hitmaker noted that he has the blessings of Kaywa, his former manager.
He indicated that he had to rethink and do the right thing, but for now, he has decided to follow in the footsteps of superstars like Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and Sarkodie who have their own management and record labels and not signed under others.
Mr. Drewwho is open to new signing from other labels believes he can thrive as an independent Artiste.
He is currently promoting a single, ‘Tomorrow,’ a motivational and relatable song.
Born Andrew Nii Commey Otoo, Mr Drew started off as a dancer before later switching to become a full-time musician.
