The Member of Parliament (MP) for Lower Manya Krobo in the Eastern Region, Ebenezer Okletey Tei Larbi, has stated that he would not hesitate to sell his father’s house to raise funds to contest and win the seat on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) again.
Speaking at a campaign launch by the NDC constituency executives in the Lower Manya Constituency recently, Okletey advised all the members and supporters to show the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) the red card.
According to him, the NPP had nothing good to offer Ghanaians, particularly the Lower Manya constituents, and urged all the members and supporters to stand firm as the country was approaching its General Elections.
“President Akufo-Addo came with ‘try me, try me’ in his campaign, but, today, what are you witnessing in his administration?” Okletey Tei Larbi asked.
Mr. OkleteyTei Larbi said the NDC was in pole position to win the presidential election, and that they needed courageous people who could not be deceived by the NPP.
The lawmaker urged the constituency executives to work effectively for the NDC party to enable it deliver its best to its supporters and members in the Lower Manya Constituency.
The Constituency Chairman, Mr. David Walter Hormenu, on his part, promised that measures would be put in place to enable the NDC obtain 45,000 votes in the upcoming 2024 General Elections.
According to him, 2024 was the biggest opportunity for all Ghanaians to elect the NDC back into power to deliver the country from improper management by the Akufo-Addo-led administration.
He said that the 2024 General Election was critical, hence, every Ghanaian needed to visit the polling stations to vote for the NDC, so that the latter would gain a huge numbers of votes both in the presidential and parliamentary elections.
Walter Hormenu mentioned four thematic areas that would change the fortunes of the NDC in the Lower Manya Krobo constituency.
This includes economic empowerment for the youths and women in the party by delivering skills training to enable them be self-reliant.
He vowed to establish a welfare fund with a committee to serve as a backbone for all the members of the NDC in the Lower Manya Constituency, adding that he wo0uld unite all the members to win Election 2024.
