Ace Gospel Artiste, Ohemaa Mercy has revealed that when it comes to secular songs, she listens to Highlife and Reggae Dancehall Artistes Kofi Kinaata and Stonebwoy because of the wisdom in their music.
In an interview on Hitz FM, the ‘Ote Me Mu’ crooner was asked about the type of music she avoids listening to, to which she responded boldy; “profane songs.”
She mentioned that she does not allow such music in her household due to its moral implications.
However, she commended Kofi Kinaata and Stonebwoy for their ability to create songs with meaningful and wise lyrics.
She shared that she has even integrated Stonebwoy’s song “Tuff Seed” into her preaching, as it embodies wisdom.
“I always listen to songs that give wisdom. I love Kofi Kinaata and some of the songs by Stonebwoy. I remember I even preached with Tuff Seed. I love some of the messages but there are some of the songs I wouldn’t even allow anyone in my home to listen to because it doesn’t communicate anything, its just noise,” she said.
