FC Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany has jumped to the defense of forward Nicolas Jackson who has come under significant criticism for his performances since joining the club from English Premier League side Chelsea. The 24 year old Senegal international joined the German giants this season on a one year loan deal that expires at the end of the 2025-2026 season but has largely underperformed.
Nicolas Jackson has made nine appearances in all competitions and scored twice with both goals coming in the UEFA Champions League despite Bayern winning all 13 games the team has played this season.
Kompany made these comments ahead of Bayern Munich’s second round matchup against FC Cologne in the German Cup on Wednesday, at 19:45 GMT.
