The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) has presented a cheque for GH¢100,000.00 to Ms. Deborah Nkrumah, a practicing Nurse at the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Hospital at Dominase, in the Bekwai Municipality of the Ashanti region, in support of payment of her medical bills.
Mr. Ali Zul Kifilu, the district chairman, was assisted by Madam Cecilia Ampofo, nurse manager at the hospital and other local executives to present the cheque on behalf of Jones Afriyie Anti, Esq., Ashanti Regional Chairman, executives and the association to the beneficiary nurse.
The Bekwai Municipal Chairman explained that the welfare of nurses is the utmost priority of the association, enumerated the numerous benefits of the association and reiterated the need for all members to remain loyal to the union.
Madam Gladys Abeka, mother of the beneficiary nurse, who received the cheque on behalf of the daughter, expressed the family’s profound gratitude to the association for the love, support and their timely intervention, when she needed help most.
The nurse manager of the hospital encouraged members, including students and rotation nurses, to stick to the GRNMA and Midwives Association to enable them to also benefit when the need arises.
