Celebrated Gospel musician, Ohemaa Mercy has opened up on why she decided to divorce her husband, Mr Twum-Ampofo.
Speaking in a recent interview with Cookie Tee on TV3, Ohemaa Mercy disclosed that before deciding to divorce her husband, she went on her knees and prayed to God for his approval.
“I didn’t just get up one day and decided to divorce my husband. I took it to God in prayer. I was committed to doing the Lord’s work and I knew marriage was somewhat going to hinder it. So I sort His permission and approval before deciding to divorce him.” Ohemaa Mercy bemoaned.
Cookie Tee asked Ohemaa Mercy if she was the one that initiated the divorce to which she responded affirmatively.
According to her, she came to a mutual agreement with her husband about going their separate ways to which he agreed.
Today, they are still best of friends and co-parent their children.
