Ghana will on Monday, October 20, 2025 gather at the University of Ghana Sports Complex Park to observe the 40th-day memorial of Apostle Emeritus Ing. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, the renowned industrialist, technologist, farmer, herbalist and spiritual leader of the Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana.
The event, expected to draw thousands from across the country and beyond, will pay tribute to a man widely regarded as one of Ghana’s most visionary figures, an innovator whose impact spanned industry, agriculture, science and spirituality.
Apostle Safo, often celebrated as the “Star of Africa,” was a pioneer in local vehicle manufacturing and advanced agricultural technologies.
Through the Kantanka Group, he championed self-reliance, technological advancement and local ingenuity, mentoring generations of inventors and pushing the boundaries of what was deemed possible in Ghana.
Beyond his industrial feats, he served as a spiritual shepherd whose leadership of the Kristo Asafo Mission cultivated values of discipline, faith and community development.
The 40th-day observance will begin at 8:00 a.m. and continue until 6:00 p.m., featuring prayers, hymns and tributes.
The solemn ceremony will bring together high-profile dignitaries, including the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the President of the Republic, former Presidents, a former Vice President, Members of Parliament, traditional leaders, and prominent figures from the business community.
They will join Sarah Adwoa Safo and her siblings, the Aduana Family of Essumangya and Asantemanso, the Kristo Asafo Mission and members of the general public in honoring Apostle Safo’s enduring legacy.
Attendees have been asked to wear red and black attire in keeping with the solemn nature of the event.
As the nation pauses to reflect, Apostle Kwadwo Safo will be remembered not only for his personal achievements but also for his profound contributions to national development.
His life stands as a testament to what can be accomplished through faith, innovation, and unwavering service to humanity.
