GFA boss attends Black Stars’ opening training ahead of AFCON qualifiers

Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku was present at the Black Stars’ first training session in Accra as the team gears up for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

Okraku attended the Monday, September 3, 2024, session at the Accra Sports Stadium, accompanied by Vice-President Mark Addo and Executive Council member Samuel Aboabire.

With only 10 players in attendance, the training session marked the start of preparations under coach Otto Addo, who is expecting the rest of the squad to join soon.

During the visit, President Okraku greeted the coaches and players, exchanging warm pleasantries.

The Black Stars are set to face Angola in their opening qualifier at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Thursday, September 5, 2024, before travelling to Berkane, Morocco, to take on Niger on Monday, September 9, 2024.
