The Ghana Education Service has condemned the violent incident which occurred on the campus of Adisadel College (Adisco) in the Central region and called for probe into the matter.
In a statement by the GES, it condemned the incident as act of violence asking the Central Regional Educational Service to refer the case to law enforcement agency for proper action.
It said: “Management has directed the Regional Director of Education to liaise with the school authorities and the relevant law enforcement agency to investigate for the appropriate action.”
According to the release, management is deeply concerned and condemns the development, describing it as “Barbaric act of violence in our schools.”
Whilst it applauded the authorities at Adisadel for taking swift action to suspend the culprit pending further investigation, the GES assured the general public that they are taking this matter very serious and are committed to ensuring a safe and secure learning environent for all students across the country.
