Fomena MP commissions CHPS Compound for Sodua Community

The Member of Parliament for Fomena, Mr Andrew Amoako Asiamah has commissioned a CHPS Compound for Sodua, a farming community near Akrokerri, in a bid to take health care delivery to every part of the constituency.

One unique aspect of the CHPS Compound is that it has three in-built self-contained apartments for the staff of the facility.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Asiamah said the Sodua CHPS Compound is the fourth of such facility in the district, apart from health centres at Adumanu,Wioso and the Fomena District Hospital.

He charged the staff to do diligent work by attending to patients professionally so that people will always love to visit the facility.

The MP, who is also the 2nd Deputy Speaker of Parliament, called for strict maintenance culture to prevail at the facility, so that it will last longer to benefit children yet unborn.

He also called on the entire Sodua Community to periodically use communal labour to clean the facility’s surroundings to make the place look appealing and good.

The Adansi North DCE, Mr. Eric Kusi Jnr., called on the constituents to rally behind the government so that they will continue to benefit from other projects to improve their standard of living.

The District Director Health, Mr. Eric Atuahene Agyeman, noted that discussions for the construction of a health facility at Sodua started some 30 years ago and thanked God that at long last, it has come to pass.

He appealed to Sodua residents to support the Community Health Management Committee to achieve its mandate.
