The Ebenezer Assemblies of God Co-Operative Savings & Social Services Society Limited (E-AGASSSCO) has held its 16th Annual General Meeting at Fumesua in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
The theme for the meeting was: “Repositioning yourself to meet the Global Changing Economy”.
Mr. Thomas Hayford Ofosuhene, General Manager of E-AGASSSCO, in his report, told the shareholders that in spite of the numerous challenges facing the society, it would continue to channel more resources into financing shareholders’ businesses towards poverty reduction within the communities and catchment area of E-AGASSSCO.
He assured the meeting that the society would intensify loans recovery, deposit mobilisation and maintain quality assets to increase profitability and reduce the cost of operations.
The General Manager also announced that investments would be diversified to ensure safety and increased returns on assets and shareholders’ funds.
Mr. Ofosuhene reminded the shareholders that the minimum share had been increased from GH¢300 to GH¢400, thus increased total share from GH¢1,197,239 in 2021 to GH¢1,363,749.
Mr. Ofosuhene reiterated the call by the Board on all shareholders to purchase, at least, the minimum share of GH¢400 or forfeit their dividends in 2023.
According to him, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, and the light global inflation, E-AGASSSCO had survived and would continue to endure all the economic difficulties and continue to seek ways of strengthening and developing its operations to maintain the confidence of shareholders.
E-AGASSCO, the General Manager announced, had constructed an ultra modern computer laboratory with 40 tables and chairs, five brand new desktop computers, and a mechanised borehole and Poly tank for the Fumesua Community Schools as its corporate social responsibility.
