Don’t think I’ve arrived so you’ll leave me to my fate

Reigning Artiste of the year, KiDi is appealing to Ghanaians to offer more support to his brand now than before.

Using the analogy of a university graduate whose parents wish him or her well after completing school and offer their blessing that they have done their best so it is up to the graduate to now find a job and start life.

“There are more projects to take over Africa and the rest of the world so please don’t say because I have won the Artiste of the year you are done with KiDi and concentrate on a new person. I need the support now than ever” KiDisaid this appeal is for himself and his colleague Artistes.

Adding how his son Zain reacted to his win, KiDi intimated that due to the time of the awards, his son could not watch the event live.

“I told him the following day that ‘Golden boy’ album won awards and he said I know. I asked him if he watched it and he said no he didn’t, but he knows. The vim he has,” KiDi revealed in an interview on TV3 New Day which was monitored by The Chronicle.

In addition to the ‘Artiste of the year,’ KiDi also won the ‘Vodafone Most Popular Song of the year’ with ‘Touch it,’ ‘Album/EP of the year’ with ‘Golden Boy,’ ‘Afropop/Afrobeat Artiste of the year’ and ‘Reggae/Dancehall Song of the year with ‘Touch it’ at the VGMA last Saturday.
