Residents of Achiase-Kokoben electoral area in the Atwima Nwabiagya north district of the Ashanti region are living in fear, following the killing of a destooled chief, Nana Boateng Okofrobour, by unknown assailant(s).
The destooled chief was allegedly shot and killed on the night of Wednesday, this week, near his home. The body was, however, found the following day, on Thursday.
Mr Saeed Muniru Yahya, the Assembly Member for Achiase-Kokoben electoral area, who confirmed the story to The Chronicle, said the late Nana Boateng Okofrobour, a former Kunafo Gyaase Hene, under the Gyaase division of the Kokoben Traditional Council, was shot in the chest and that the police have already come for the body.
