Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP), Arthur Osei Akoto, has been appointed as the new Ashanti Regional Police Commander.
DCOP Arthur Osei Akoto, who until his transfer to the Ashanti Regional Police Command was the Western Regional Police Commander replaces Commissioner of Police (COP) Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe, appointed Ashanti Regional Police Commander about seven months ago, has reportedly been reassigned to the Police Headquarters in Accra.
The transfer and change in leadership of Ashanti Police Command as directed by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno upon the recommendation of the Transfer Board of the Ghana Police Service, takes immediate effect.
