Chelsea continue their dreary trudge towards the end of the season with a Stamford Bridge clash with European hopefuls Brighton on Saturday.
The Blues were beaten in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie with Real Madrid on Wednesday and fans are hopeful of a top ten finish rather than any silverware.
Brighton’s push for a top four spot took a hit when they were beaten by Tottenham in north London last time out, though they weren’t helped by a number of questionable referee decisions.
Chelsea fans have been subjected to some lengthy spells without goals this season. The defeat at Real was the fourth game on the trot in which the Blues have failed to score, with Lampard failing to inspire any energy from his attack in his two so far.
It’s a tough one to call, but Lampard may get his first point back at Chelsea while further harming Brighton’s push for Europe.
