The Christian Atsu Educational Centre was officially commissioned on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, in Senya Beraku, a community located in the Central Region of Ghana. The school was built for the less privileged.
Christian Atsu, a former winger for the Black Stars, had undertaken the project before his untimely demise.
Tragically, he was among the victims of the devastating disasters that struck Turkey and Syria in February 2023.
In honor of his memory and dedication, Atsu’s former clubs, Chelsea, Newcastle, and Everton, rallied together to complete the construction of the educational facility in his hometown.
Contributions from Atsu’s former clubs were supplemented by generous donations from various individuals and organizations through the Arms Around The Child Foundation.
The combined efforts ensured the completion of the Christian Atsu Educational Centre, which now boasts modern educational facilities to serve the local community’s children.
Equipped with state-of-the-art educational resources, the facility aims to empower young minds and offer them opportunities for a brighter future.
