Nana Osei Kofi, Chief of Sabin Akrofuom in the Atwima Kwanwoma District, has provided a 20-seater toilet facility for the community towards the reduction of open defecation.
He expressed worry over the neglect of the previous facility built for the community to deteriorate.
He pledged to ensure the total development of the community as his priority.
Nana Osei said the Circuit Court project and police station for the community was about 85% completed and could be commissioned for operations soon.
The Chief also announced plans to build a modern market to uplift the image of the community to boost the local economy.
Nana Osei Kofi appealed to the residents to take good care of the facility to serve the intended purpose of improving sanitation and environmental health.
The Sabin Akrofuom Chief also announced that the remaining land within the area would be used for the construction of stores and a conference hall for public and social events, as well as the Stool Secretariat.
