Chief Moomen to perform at Earth to Space Festival in US

Ghanaian poet and playwright Chief Moomen will be performing at Earth to Space Festival slated for April 2025 at The Kennedy Center in Washington DC.

Making the announcement on his Facebook page, he wrote: “On April 5th 2025, I will bring the best of my storytelling prowess to bear, horned over two decades of practice and underpinned by centuries of ancestral tradition, on an exclusive one man show within the lineup of EARTH to SPACE festival at The Kennedy Center in Washington DC.”

He also added that he will be joining an impressive lineup of Nobel Laureates, poets, astronauts, musicians, researchers, visual artists, engineers, actors, environmentalists, architects, astronomers, dancers, scientists, film makers and others, at the event.

Chief indicated that there will be a series of spectacular thought-provoking events of this highly-anticipated festival dubbed ‘Earth to Space: Arts Breaking the Sky.’

The Earth to Space Festival is a multidisciplinary event that combines art, science, and technology to explore the wonders of space while also highlighting the importance of protecting our planet Earth.

According to Chief, his schedule includes a performance at the launch of the festival on April 1, 2025 at 8pm and his main show on April 5, 2025.

Chief Moomen, for the past decade has cemented his place in Ghana’s poetry and theatre space as formidable force, working hard to market his craft to the outside world.

His ambitious storytelling project ‘The Mansa World’, launched at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation’s (UNESCO) headquarters in Paris on October 18, 2023, has earned him a lot of plaudits.
