The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bibiani GoldStars, Akwasi Adu, has revealed that their target is to secure qualification to play in the money zone ahead of their maiden CAF Champions League participation.

The Miners will make their debut appearance in the CAF elite tournament next season after emerging as the champions of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League champions.

In recent times, Ghanaian clubs have struggled to make it into the money zone of the Champions League.

However, Akwasi Adu, speaking in an interview, revealed that they have solicited advise from Ghanaian clubs who have featured in the Champions League on how they can achieve their objective by playing in the money zone.

“We have started talking to teams that have participated in the CAF Champions League to share their experience with us,” he told Asempa FM. “We have had enough information on what we have to do and will do exactly that.

“As a team, we have our target, and that is to play in the money zone. We know it will not come easily, but we do proper recruitment to ensure that we achieve our aim,” he added.

As part of their preparation for their African campaign, Bibiani GoldStars will face FA Cup champions, Asante Kotoko, in a Champion of Champions clash on August 31.
