“Bishop Salifu Amoako wasn’t emotionally ready to preach” – Mrs. Amy Newman

Gospel legend Mrs. Amy Amber Newman has expressed her thoughts regarding remarks made by Bishop Salifu Amoako following a tragic incident involving his son.

Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz, Mrs. Newman said, “Bishop Salifu Amoako should not have been allowed to preach that day because he was not emotionally ready to preach.”

As a wife of a Pastor, Mrs. Amy Newman emphasized the importance of emotional preparedness, adding, “The elders should have stopped him from preaching. I think he said what he said because he wasn’t emotionally ready. This is not an easy issue to be addressed so soon after the incident.”

The incident in question involved the bishop’s son, who crashed his mother’s Jaguar SUV into another vehicle at East Legon, resulting in the death of two young women. Although Bishop Amoako defended his son, stating it was an unfortunate accident, many have shared differing opinions about his public response.

Currently, the bishop’s son remains hospitalized, while the two victims have been laid to rest.
