Berekum Chelsea secure late victory over Medeama

Berekum Chelsea secured a dramatic late victory over Medeama in a tense encounter at the Golden City Park.

The win saw Chelsea return to winning ways, while Medeama’s struggles continued as they extended their winless run to three matches.

Stephen Amankona gave Chelsea the lead on the stroke of halftime with a well-taken goal, putting the home side in control going into the break.

Medeama, however, fought back and were rewarded in the 89th minute when they won a penalty, calmly converted by Mubarik Yussif to level the game.

Just as it seemed Medeama had salvaged a point, Chelsea stunned their opponents with a 90+9-minute winner. Zakaria Fuseini found the back of the net deep into added time, sending the home fans into raptures and securing all three points for the hosts.

The result provides a significant morale boost for Berekum Chelsea as they aim to climb the league table.

Meanwhile, Medeama will need to regroup quickly as their recent poor form threatens to derail their campaign.

Chelsea will look to build on this momentum in their next fixture, while Medeama faces the challenge of ending their winless streak in Week 18.
