As the Election Day is drawing close, we hear some politicians and so-called men of God, making some ridiculously stupid pronouncements that could haunt them, one day.
Sammy Gyamfi was in a studio, the other day, saying, if he dies and gets to Heaven and sees, Nana Addo and Bawumia there, he would reject this glorious land and rather go to hell. I will strongly ask him to quickly fall on his face and with humility and contrite heart, pray to God for forgiveness. What he said is a blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which is a serious sin which cannot be forgiven here in this life and in the life hereafter (Matthew 12: 31-32).
In his profile in Wikipedia, Sammy attended St. James Seminary and SHS, in Sunyani, Bono. If he is not Catholic, he must surely be very familiar with the praying of the Holy Rosary, which I will recommend he prays it daily and at each intercession he must ask for forgiveness. If he is a Catholic, he should access the Sacrament of Reconciliation as well, and come public again, and withdraw that blasphemous statement.
What Sammy Gyamfi is saying here is that God has no right to invite certain souls, like Nana Addo and Bawumia to Heaven. Sammy has appointed himself the authority to decide who goes to Heaven and who goes to hell. This is serious, for God is most just and merciful and He and only He alone, knows the hearts of men, and knows those to accept and those to reject, in accordance to their conduct in this life. It is said, that saints have a past and sinners have a future.
The one we may see as a great saint, might have had a horrible past, but got transformed through the grace and mercy of God. And the one we may see as a horrible sinner may encounter and accept the grace of God, even at the last minute and be transformed into a saint. We are notto judge any one and access whether they can be saved. There is this case of an armed robber, with a horrible past who got saved just at his hour of death. He was Dismas, the Good Thief. Dying on a cross along side Jesus, Dismas rebuked his partner in crime, Gestas, who was also dying on a cross, but chose to mock Jesus. Acknowledging his sins, Dismas pleaded for mercy, and Jesus knowing his penitent heart, absolved all his sins and made his soul very clean (Luke 23: 42-43).
What is very interesting here is that, Jesus went to Heaven with none of His followers, but an outsider who was a great sinner, who robbed, killed and most likely raped women when he went on operation.
Invitation to Heaven is God’s gift to those He finds just and if Sammy Gyamfi says if he is found in the state of grace and invitedby God to Heaven, he will reject that offer, because of two souls he detests, then he better not only examine his brains but his soul as well. Unless, he seriously confesses and asks for forgiveness now, those words can lead him to damnation.
Such stupid and silly political comments do not make one any superior, but rather very foolish and impenitent in the sight of God. Sammy Gyamfi, should be careful what he wishes for.
Another ridiculously proud and arrogant Ghanaian is Rev. Owusu Bempah. He should know that his conduct does not make him what he claims to be, a man and prophet of God. People called by God to work in the Lord’s vineyard are always humble and strictly adhere to offering their services to God to reflect on how Christ lived here on earth. Pride, the root of all vices, is not found in them, but rather they are filled with humility, the source of all virtues.
For boasting about, beginning to celebrate NDC’s Mahama’s victory and mocking the NPP could backfire in his face, by this time next week. But in all seriousness, he comes to tells us that should Mahama fail to win, he, Owusu Bempah will stop becoming a man of God. The question is, is he truly a man of God?
Here is someone who correctly predicted that NPP would win 2016 and 2020 elections, but say it is a prophecy from God. He placed himself around the president to be acknowledged as the presidential prophet. When the NPP all his demands were not met, he is now predicting NDC and Mahama to win the December 7, elections.
Unfortunately, his conduct could make Mahama lose and I will ask Sammy Gyamfi to blame Rev. Owusu Bempah for that loss instead of fabricating stories about the EC. Rev. Owusu Bempah should be careful what he wishes for.
The NDC parliamentary candidate for Hohoe, Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo, in June 2020, offered himself to be castrated if the EC was able to compile a new voters’ register. He was protesting with his party against the new register. Mr. Tsekpo, however was among the first to be registered in his constituency and watched on as the register was successfully compiled. To date he has failed to offer himself for castration; we are still waiting.Hemust also be told to be careful what he wishes for.
